Teaching

Katie is a qualified and experienced Music teacher and has taught singing and music in a variety of different settings, encompassing many abilities and ages. She is able to prepare students for performances, music exams, competitions, festivals, and auditions but also welcomes students who wish to sing purely for pleasure and to build confidence.

Having worked in both primary and secondary school classrooms, Katie is also able to help tutor students for GCSE and A level exams as well as give lessons in music theory.

Katie enjoys developing her interest in the teaching of singing and especially the development of young voices. She is a member of the Association of the Teachers of Singing and the British Voice Association, which enables her to attend regular workshops and master classes given by distinguished professionals in the voice related arena. This professional development enables Katie to keep up to date with the most recent scientific and holistic approach to the voice and singing technique.
